Dear Parents/Guardians:
Now that the first official day of the 2006-07 school year
is underway, I just wanted to take a few moments to welcome
all of you. We look forward to an exciting school year, and
I especially look forward to getting to know all who are new
to our East Goshen family.
This is also a good time to review some procedures that are
in place here at EGE to help us ensure the safety of our
students and staff:
The official school day is from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Students may be
dropped off no earlier than
8:15 AM at the
Gymnasium entrance,
at which time they will be asked to wait in the Gymnasium
until 8:40 AM when they can go to their classrooms. Please
do not drop your children off before 8:15 AM – we do not
have the staff to properly supervise them. If your child is
late, please come to the door with them to ring the doorbell
and make sure they safely enter the school.
If you are picking your child/children up after school,
please come to the Paoli Pike entrance to pick up your
child/children.
Please be prompt.
Beginning today the front doors to the school will be locked
between the hours of 8:50 AM and 3:20 PM. There is a
doorbell and camera located on the left side of the entrance
(we have signs posted). You will need to ring the doorbell
and wait to be let in by our office staff. The door that
will be opened for you is the one on the far left side of
the entrance.
Please try not to make any last minute calls to the office
requesting that your children be “Parent Pick up”, etc...
We realize that there are exceptions, but we request that
you keep it to a minimum. Also, please remember that if you
plan to pick your child/children up at the end of the school
day we ask that you send a note to the teacher. If your
child will be visiting a friend, both parents/guardians must
write a note. Please do not request that your child go home
on a different bus for a “play date”. We will only honor
bus changes for child care purposes, and we must have a
written note from both parents/guardians.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
