CREATE

Create a poster advertising the county fair in this book.

Create a "mystery quotes quiz" about characters from Charlotte’s Web using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Make a map of Fern’s farm, Mr. Zuckerman’s  farm, or the grounds of the state fair.  Use a legend to mark important landmarks.

Choose one farm animal and create a manual for caring for caring for this animal as a pet.

Create a spider web from yarn, which you’ll glue on to a piece of paper. Include in it a different word that Charlotte may have used to describe Wilbur.

WRITE

Are spiders really vicious?  Research spiders and write a paragraph persuading readers that spiders are not vicious.

Write a character trait acrostic that spells any of the character’s names in Charlotte’s Web.

Write a letter to Mr. Zuckerman, from the point of view of Charlotte, explaining why Wilbur should be saved.

After viewing several sites that offer pig pet adoption, write a persuasive letter to your  parents telling why you should be able to adopt this animal.

Mrs. Arable feels Fern spends too much time at the barn, and not enough time playing outside with her friends.

Write a friendly letter from Fern explaining why she should be allowed to continue spending time in the barn.
