Penn Wood serves children in kindergarten through grade 5. Total enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year was approximately 470 students with 42 professional staff members.

Students in third, fourth and fifth grades take the PSSA state assessment tests. the percentages of students who scorfed proficient or above in 2007 are listed below.

Grade 3rd - Reading 88% Math 92%

Grade 4th - Reading 88% Math 93%

Grade 5th - Reading 81% Math 84%
