Senior Graduation Project
Rustin High School’s Graduation
Project
As mandated by
Pennsylvania’s Department of Education,
the West Chester Area School District
has developed a framework for graduation
requirements consistent with meeting
local standards of performance and state
guidelines.
Ms. Marypat Tang is
providing leadership at Rustin High
School for the Graduation Project.
The Graduation
Project is intended to allow students to
synthesize their accumulated knowledge
to explore individual topics which
reflect their personal interests, future
goals, and levels of ability. The
Graduation Project should be based on
knowledge gained from course work and
relevant experiences. Students must
demonstrate appropriate skills in these
areas to complete the project:
●Writing
●Research
●Oral
●Technology
●Visual
A Graduation
Project grade may be obtained through
completion of:
- A required
rigorous research project in a
designated class. All students
enrolled in these courses will
complete an eligible project as part
of the regular curriculum.
- An independent
project supervised by a teacher
related to the curriculum.
- A community
service project approved by the
Graduation Project Coordinator.
- Any qualifying
project from an 11th or
12th grade class at CAT
Brandywine.
A project must
be successfully completed in order to
graduate.
