Enrichment Component
6th, 7th and 8th Grade
Three content specific gifted resource teachers
(math, science and creative arts) will rotate every eight weeks to
a middle school building to provide enrichment programs in a specific
content area based on student interest and need.
Students are scheduled by the gifted resource teacher
on a rotating schedule. The enrichment activities will change from
the present program of enrichment activities being grade specific
to a program that supports students meeting cross grade (6th-8th
grade). Current Probe enrichment activities will be reviewed to be
included with the enrichment program for next year as determined
by the enrichment teachers.
Building administration on each school has identified
a room that will serve as the gifted resource room to provide the
enrichment activities.
The gifted resource teacher will modify the GIEP next
year to reflect the student participation in specifically select
or all enrichment program options.
Cost
Charges reflected above incur no additional staffing.
